The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Nasser Bourita, arrived Saturday, 9th of December, in Cairo, Egypt to attend a minestrial meeting organized to discuss consequences of Washington's decision to move the US embassy in Israel to occupied East Jerusalem, reports Egypt Today.

The Mauritanian Foreign Minister, Isselkou Ould Ahmed Izid Bih, is also attending the same meeting intended to shed light on the «repercussions for the region» after the American President, Donald Trump announced that he is moving the U.S embassy in Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, said the same source.

The first week of December was marcked by the controversial decision of President Trump, who stated in a speech he delivered on Wednesday night that Jerusalem is the capital city of Israel.

The president's decision was rejected by several head of states including King Mohammed VI who sent a message to the White House warning against the consequences of such a step.
