Khaled Meshaal, the former leader Hamas' political bureau is expected to visit Morocco next Tuesday, says Al3omk.com. The Islamist leader is expected to hold talks with members of the PJD's general secretariat, led by Saadeddine El Othmani, and the leadership of the Unity and Reform Movement, the same source added.
The Palestinian politician, who currently lives in Qatar, is also expected to meet with associative figures known for their support for the Palestinian cause to examine the consequences of Donald Trump's recognition of Al Qods as capital of Israel and his decision to relocate the United States Embassy.
This is the second time that Meshaal visits Morocco. In 2016, he was invited to attend the 7th Extraordinary Congress of the PJD which extended the term of Abdelilah Benkirane to another year as head of the Islamic party. During his stay in Morocco, he had praised the political reforms in conducted in the kingdom.
Khaled Mechaal has been in Mauritania since yesterday to take part in the opening session of the 3rd Congress of the Party of the National Rally of Reform and Development (Islamist). The PJD is also present at the neighbouring country.
