The local authorities in the Rehamna Province, near Marrakech, have managed to identify and arrest, Wednesday 28th of March, an individual who appeared in a video trying to rape a young girl, said a communiqué issued by the Ministry of Interior and sent today to Yabiladi.
The video which has gone viral on the internet emerged yesterday,27th of March, showing a man who was holding a girl to the ground. Trying to rape her, the young girl who was also identified by the authorities, was screaming and begging to be released and left alone. By the end of the video, which lasted 55 second, the victim managed to flee the suspect.
The first elements of the investigation revealed that the suspect is a 21-year-old national who lives in a small village called kdawa in the Ait Hamou commune, located in the Rhamna province. The victim, 17 years old, lives in the same commune.
According to the same communiqué, the arrestee is held in custody while an investigation is underway to arrest the individual who was filming the video and who was also identified by the authorities.
