The new Morocco-EU fisheries agreement, initialed Monday and pending ratification, is believed to have sparked tension in the Polisario Front.

Sunday, after the Kingdom and the European Union announced the end of negotiations, Sahrawi newspaper Futuro Sahara criticized the Front’s leadership for the decision taken by the two parties.

In an article, the platform close to Mohamed Lamine Ould Bouhali, stated that Brahim Ghali «considers the crisis a victory that everyone should celebrate».

«The current leadership is trying to hide the truth from the people», argued the same source. «Sahrawis did not benefit from this case», just like «the Gueguarate’s», argued Futuro Sahara.

«Morocco continues to exploit the border crossing by exporting goods while the Saharawi party is unable to take a particular position after the UN resolution», says the same source.

For Futuro Sahara, the new agreement raises many questions about the work assigned to the question of natural resources.
