After the General Secretariat of the Justice and Development Party (PJD) said that it is visiting Algeria to «examine the means needed to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and overcome the differences hindering development and cooperation», the Party of Progress and Socialism announced Thursday that it is also willing to meet Algerian politicians.

In a statement quoted by Le 360, the party welcomed the mechanism suggested by King Mohammed VI in his Green March speech.

«Contributing to this approach, the Political Bureau of the Party of Progress and Socialism (PPS) has decided to reach Algerian parties, who have historical ties with our party», said the formation headed by Mohamed Nabil Benabdallah. The objective of this step is to «examine ways of contributing to the project launched by the Kingdom for the good of the two nations», said the same source.

For the record, on November the 13th, the General Secretariat of the Justice and Development Party (PJD) has welcomed the royal initiative through which King Mohammed VI urged Algeria to join the creation of «a political mechanism for dialogue and consultation». The Islamist party said that it is willing to take action in order to implement the royal initiative.
