NASA is set to execute, on November the 26th at 8 pm (GMT+1), the Mars InSight landing mission, completing its seven-month journey to the red planet.

«The spacecraft to enter the Martian atmosphere, descend with a parachute and retrorockets, and touch down tomorrow at around noon PST (3 p.m. EST)», wrote the agency.

Moroccan national Kamal Oudrhiri is one of the engineers participating to this scientific project.

He stressed that «nothing will be left to chance», insisting that NASA «will learn from the lessons accumulated in previous missions».

It is the fourth landing the Moroccan national is working on, as he was in charge of NASA's planetary studies department and headed the Cold Atom Lab (CAL) mission.

Kamal Oudrhiri, who has been working for NASA for about 20 years, took part in several missions, including those related to Mars exploration vehicles, namely Curiosity, Rovers, Spirit and Opportunity, as well as Cassini international missions for Saturn, Grail for the moon and Juno for Jupiter.
