The 32nd Ordinary Summit of the African Union will be held in the Ethiopian capital from the 9th to the 11th of February, says the continental organization. The meeting will discuss «refugees, returnees and internally displaced persons in Africa : Towards durable solutions to forced displacement».

The Executive Council (of Foreign Ministers) will start working on the resolutions that have to be submitted to the Presidents for approval.

It is clear that, unlike the summit held in Mauritania last July, the Western Sahara issue has been mentioned.

For the record, in Nouakchott, it was decided to create a troika at the level of the Conference of Heads of State, supported by the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, to follow up the regional dispute.

The conflict was however briefly mentioned by Moussa Faki Mahamat in his message on the occasion of the new year.
