Morocco dismantles a terrorist cell close to ISIS

The Central Bureau for Judicial Investigation (BCIJ) dismantled, Friday, a five-member terrorist cell, operating in Safi, reported a communiqué issued by the Interior Ministry and sent to Yabiladi.

The members of this terrorist cell are aged between 21 and 36, the same source added, indicating that one of these men had been convicted before for terror-related cases.

During the arrest, BCIJ members managed to seize electronic devices and white weapons, as well as manuscripts, hailing the extremist propaganda that belonged to the suspects.

The investigation carried by the Bureau revealed that these suspects pledged allegiance to «ISIS» and planned to join Syria and Iraq. They were also plotting terror acts in the Kingdom.

According to the same communiqué, one of the suspects who was staying in a sub-Saharan country has tried to join the terrorist organization’s cells in the Sahel region.
