The International IDEX-NAVDEX Exhibition, leading event in the defense and security sector in the Middle East, opened on Sunday in Abu Dhabi, with the participation of high-ranking government and military officials from 62 countries, including Morocco.
Morocco is represented in this double event, Idex (the International Defense Exhibition) and Navdex (the Naval Defense and Maritime Security Exhibition), by minister delegate for national defense administration Abdellatif Loudiyi and attended by Morocco's ambassador to the UAE Mohamed Ait Ouali.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
1,310 companies from defense, security, transport, telecommunication, aviation and other military fields are taking part in the exhibition.
The five-day event is expected to welcome over 100,000 visitors, regionally and globally.
