After he announced that his country is «reassessing» its diplomatic relations with the Polisario Front and evaluating its decision on the Western Sahara conflict, El Salvador President Nayib Bukele said, Saturday, on his Twitter account that San Salvador has withdrawn its recognition of «SADR».

On Friday, June 7, the Salvadorian Foreign Ministry said that it is «developing a new policy that aims at promoting the interests of the country internationally», including ties with «SADR».

«The day before, Nasser Bourita had a long telephone conversation with his counterpart in El Salvador», said a Moroccan diplomatic source.

El Salvador recognized «SADR» in 1989.
