The Malaga Moroccan Association has launched a mobile app to fight against Islamophobia and hate crimes, Spanish press agency Europa Press reports. The app is part of a national program set to counter Islamophobia.

In addition to this project, Malaga will host in September its first national congress against Islamophobia.

The app, called «Islamofobia», is free and available on Google Play. It is presented as the first Spanish digital tool to address the phenomenon, as explained by the NGO in a press release.

The app is used to report Islamophobic acts. It is also a tool to fight against cyber hate as 46% of these attacks occur on the internet. The project is financed by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF).
