French coach Laurent Blanc will not be the Atlas Lions’ new coach. The former Paris Saint-Germain manager has reportedly refused the offer of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) to coach the national team and replace Hervé Renard, Onze Mondial and RMC Sport report.

The French coach had reportedly met on August 8th with the President of FRMF Faouzi Lekjaa and was expected to give his final answer at the beginning of the week.

FRMF will have to find another coach. Bosnian coach Vahid Halilhodzic is one of the names that has been eyed by the Moroccan football governing body. The French-Bosnian coach has already worked in Morocco. He managed Raja Casablanca in the 1990s and won the 1997 CAF Champions League in December 1997, and the 1997–98 Moroccan Championship in May 1998.
