Morocco has joined the Sibenik Network of Corruption Prevention Agencies, which held a meeting last week in Tunis with the support of the Council of Europe and the European Union.

The meeting brought together representatives of the anti-corruption and prevention agencies from 15 different countries, including Morocco, wrote the Council of Europe on its website.

The aim of this meeting was to enhance cross-Mediterranean partnerships and exchange of good practices in the anti-corruption field, the same source added.

The Network of Corruption Prevention Agencies was established in Sibenik in October 2018 and strives to enhance international coordination to fight against corruption.

Currently, the Network consists of 21 anti-corruption authorities, mostly from the European countries.

The accession of anti-corruption authorities of Morocco, Jordan and Tunisia to the Sibenik Network marks the enhancement of collaboration opportunities between the state authorities and the Council of Europe Member States by exchanging good practices and establishing information exchange channels.
