Errachidia : Four people arrested over alleged links to drug trafficking network

Police in Errachidia arrested, on Saturday morning, four individuals aged between 25 and 38 for alleged links to a criminal network involved in drug and psychotropic pills trafficking.

This operation took place on the road linking Errachidia to Boudnib at a checkpoint in the Kadouss area, said a statement by National Police (DGSN), adding that the police intercepted two cars, one of which was carrying 946 kg of chira in 36 large packages.

The police also seized four mobile phones and a sum of 13,200 MAD, said the same source.

The suspects were remanded in police custody to complete the investigation led under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office to identify all the persons implicated in this case and possible links with international drug trafficking networks, it concluded.
