The Pasteur Institute of Morocco (IPM) announced on Monday that it has taken all legal measures for the opening of a judicial investigation by the competent authorities against the author of a recording containing false allegations, which was disseminated on social networks.

The IPM indicates, in a statement received by MAP, that the author of the audio claims to be a specialist in microscopic analysis at the Institute and therefore advises citizens to have daily sexual intercourse in order to eliminate the novel coronavirus.

The content of this audio is «unfounded», adds the same source, pointing out that its author «does not work at the Pasteur Institute of Morocco and has no connection with the establishment».

To this end, the Institute urges all citizens «to be vigilant and not to take part in the propagation of this meaningless recording».

The Institute once again calls on citizens to «remain cautious with regard to the dissemination of fake news attributed to official bodies on social networks, while complying with the preventive measures approved by the health authorities and announced by means of statements through the official channels dedicated to this purpose».
