70 confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded, Friday, in Morocco, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections to 345. In a recent update published by the Health authorities, so far 1,423 people have tested negative for the virus.
13 coronavirus-related deaths were also recorded between Thursday night and Friday, bringing the total number of Covid-19 deaths to 23. The number of those who recovered has reached 11, the Ministry reported.
57% of the confirmed cases are local, while 43% are imported, it explained.
As for the location of confirmed cases, the ministry reports that 107 Covid-19 infections were registered in the Casablanca-Settat region, 63 in Fes-Meknes, 56 in Rabat-Salé-Kenitra and 57 in Marrakech-Safi.
The ministry added that 23 cases are located in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, 12 in the Oriental region, 11 Souss-Massa, 10 in the Beni-Mellal-Khenifra, 5 in Daraa-Tafilalet, 1 in the Guelmim-Oued Noun region.
The Ministry indicated that 28% of the cases are aged between 40 and 65 years old, 36% are over the 65, 18% are between 25 and 40 years old while 18% are less than five years old.
The statement also assures that the state of health of 86% of confirmed cases is stable, while it is critical for 14% of the people affected.
