Morocco will implement a night-time curfew starting from Ramadan 1st between 7:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., the Interior Ministry said in a press release.
It stressed that citizens are strictly prohibited from leaving their homes or being in public spaces, with the exception of people working in vital and essential sectors.
During the night-time, exceptional authorizations issued by local authorities will not be applicable, the statement said.
Any violation of the new ban will be subjected to penalties.
