Coronavirus : Morocco to postpone Throne Day festivities, ceremonies due to health crisis

The Ministry of the Royal Household, Protocol and Chancellery announces that it has been decided to postpone all activities, festivities and ceremonies planned on the occasion of the celebration of the 21st anniversary of the accession of King Mohammed VI to the throne due to the global health crisis.

In a statement, the Ministry revealed that it was decided to postpone the reception ceremony chaired by the King on this occasion, the oath-taking ceremony of the graduate officers of the various military, paramilitary and civil schools and institutes, the ceremony of allegiance to the Commander of the Faithful, the torch-lit parade organized by the Royal Guard, as well as all the parades and events attended by a large number of citizens.

On this occasion, the King will address a speech, which will be broadcast on radio and TV channels on July 29th at 9:00 pm. The King will also symbolically chair a reception on July 30, 2020.
