Eid Al Adha : Butchers must request special authorizations

The Interior Ministry has taken a series of measures for the organization of the sacrifice operation on the occasion of Eid Al Adha, as part of the precautionary measures taken by public authorities to curb the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

In order to provide the appropriate conditions on this occasion, in full respect of the health measures issued by the competent authorities, permits will be issued by the local authorities to professional butchers and seasonal people performing the sacrifice ritual, the ministry underlines Friday in a statement.

These people will have previously covid-19 tests, in coordination with the competent health authorities, the source adds.

They will also be provided with the tools and products that will ensure compliance with the precautionary measures in force, such as protective masks, antiseptic and disinfectant products.

The Ministry of the Interior calls on all citizens to ensure during the sacrifice day to deal only with people who have permits issued by local authorities so as to safeguard their health and safety and prevent the risk of infection.
