811 new coronavirus cases were recorded during the past 24 hours in Morocco, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 19,645.
182 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 16,282, with a recovery rate of 83%.
Six deaths were recorded (2 in Fez, 2 in Tangier and 2 in Marrakech), bringing the death toll to 305. The number of active cases in Morocco is 3,058, most of them are in the region of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (1,242), Casablanca-Settat (740), Fez-Meknes (593) and Marrakech-Safi (199).
53 of the active cases are believed to be in serious or critical condition, 7 of whom are on ventilators. These cases are located in the Casablanca-Settat (20), Marrakech-Safi (17), Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (10), Fez-Meknes (4) and Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (2) regions.

455 of the new cases were recorded in the Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region : 427 in Tangier, 21 in Tetouan, 5 in M'diq, one case in Al Hoceima as well as one other case in Larache.
Next comes Casablanca-Settat with 185 new cases : 127 cases in Berrechid, 40 in Casablanca, 11 in Settat, 5 in El Jadida, one case in Mohammedia and one in Nouaceur.
In Fez-Meknes, 103 new cases were confirmed : 66 in Fez, 23 in Moulay Yacoub, 9 cases in Meknes, 3 in Sefrou, one case in Taza and another in El Hajeb. Marrakech-Safi recorded 31 new cases : 22 in Marrakech, 7 in Al Haouz, one case in Safi and another one in Rhamna.
Rabat-Salé-Kenitra recorded 15 new cases : 5 in Kenitra, 5 in Rabat, 4 cases in Temara and one case in Salé. Six new cases were confirmed in the Draa-Tafilalet region, with 3 in Errachidia, 2 in Midelt and one case in Tinghir.
Souss-Massa also recorded five cases : 3 in Chtouka Ait Baha and two cases in Inzegane. 4 cases were recorded in Dakhla (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab region) and three others were confirmed in Beni Mellal-Khenifra, with 3 cases in Khenifra and one case in Beni Mellal.
A case was recorded in Oujda and a case in Driouch (Oriental region) as well as a case in Tan Tan (Guelmim-Oued Noun region).
For the record, the increased spread of the virus resulted in the R0 in Morocco to go from 1.1 to 1.59. A worrying sign a few days before the start of Eid al-Adha festivities, marked by family visits and reunions.
