Ibrahim El Asri elected Wydad Casablanca president

Ibrahim El Asri has been elected as the new president of Wydad Casablanca, the club announced on its social media channels. He succeeds Hicham Aït Menna following the club’s ordinary and elective general assembly, which took place Tuesday evening in the city. El Asri secured 72 votes compared to 56 for Yacine Saadallah in the second round of voting.

Wydad, currently fifth in the Botola Pro D1 Inwi football league, was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the CAF Cup, wrapping up the 2025/2026 season with results that fell short of expectations.
