1,609 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 49,247.
1,393 new recoveries were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom to 34,199.
42 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 817. These deaths were recorded in Marrakech (6), Casablanca (10), Fès (4), Sefrou (1), Taza (1), Meknès (1), Agadir (1), Tangier (7), Tétouan (1), Ouezzane (1), Midelt (1), Ouarzazate (1), Khouribga (1) and Salé (1).
Morocco has now 14,231, active cases. Most of them are in Casablanca-Settat (4,999), Marrakech-Safi (2,463), Rabat-Salé (1,447), Fez-Meknès (1,303), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma (1,213) and Beni Mellal-Khénifra (1,092). 196 of these cases are in a serious or critical condition, including 42 on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat has 301 new cases : 208 in Casablanca, 24 in Mediouna, 21 in Mohammedia, 19 in El Jadida, 9 in Settat, 7 in Nouaceur, 6 in Benslimane, 4 in Sidi Bennour and 3 in Berrechid. Next comes Fez-Meknes with 262 new infections : 95 in Fez, 62 in Sefrou, 34 in Taza, 30 in Meknes, 17 in Boulemane, 14 in Taounate, 5 in Ifrane.
Marrakech-Safi follows with 169 new cases : 169 in Marrakech, 42 in El Haouz, 20 in El Youssoufia, 11 in Rhamna, 14 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 3 in Chichaoua, 3 in Essaouira and 2 in Safi. Beni-Mellal-Khénifra has 154 new cases : 88 in Azilal, 28 in Khouribga, 24 in Beni-Mellal and 14 in Khénifra.
Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma recorded 114 cases : 25 in Tetouan, 37 in Tangier, 3 in Al Hoceïma, 18 in M'diq-Fnideq and 9 in Ouezzane, 5 in Chefchaouen. Rabat-Salé-Kénitra has 95 new infections : 48 in Salé, 22 in Skhirat-Témara, 16 in Rabat, 6 in Kénitra, 9 in Sidi Slimane and 5 in Khémisset.
Drâa-Tafilalet recorded 66 new infections : 2 in Zagora, 22 in Midelt, 23 in Errachidia, 33 in Ouarzazate and 4 in Tinghir. In the region of Souss-Massa, 213 infections were confirmed : 22 in Agadir Ida Outanane, 17 in Tiznit, Taroudant and 166 in Inezgane Aït Melloul. As for the Oriental, 30 cases were recorded there : 7 in Nador, 10 in Guercif, 7 in Oujda Angad, 4 in Berkane, 3 in Jerada and 1 in Driouech.
Dakhla-Oued Ed Dahab confirmed 8 and 1 in Aousserd, in Dakhla province. Guelmim-Oued Noun confirmed 8 : 4 in Sidi Ifni, 2 in Guelmim and 2 in Tan Tan. Laayoune -Es Sakia El Hamra recorded 2: 1 in Laayoune and 1 in Es-Smara.
