On Thursday, Raja Casablanca announced that a new confirmed coronavirus case has been recorded within the club, bringing the total number of infections to two.

In a press release shared on its Facebook page, the team announced that the new infection was revealed after a coronavirus screening. While the club did not reveal the identity of its infected member, sources close to it told Le360 that the infection was recorded among the team’s defenders.

This confirmed case, announced Thursday evening, is the second of its kind within the Casablanca club. «An administrative member has tested positive for the coronavirus» within Raja in July, sources close to the club told media.

Several football clubs were hit hard by the coronavirus, including the Ittihad of Tangier (34 confirmed cases), Raja of Beni Mellal (15 cases) and Fath Union Sport (FUS) of Rabat (13 infections) at their head.
