Morocco sees highest Covid-19 daily death toll

1,191 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 63,781.

1,327 new recoveries were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom to 48,922.

43 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,184.
The country now has 13,675 active cases under treatment. The number of critically ill patients reached 198, including 43 on ventilators.

Casablanca records highest number of daily infections

Casablanca-Settat comes first, with 420 : 301 in Grand Casablanca, 43 in El Jadida, 24 in Mohammedia, 16 in Nouaceur, 15 in Mediouna, 15 in Berrechid , 3 in Settat, 2 in Benslimane and 1 in Sidi Bennour.

Next comes Marrakech-Safi with 193 new cases : 82 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 73 in Marrakech, 20 in Rehamna, 10 in El Youssoufia, 6 in Safi, 1 in Essaouira and 1 in Al Haouz. Fez-Meknes has 153 new infections : 46 in Fez, 29 in Meknes, 21 in Taza, 18 in Boulemane, 11 in Ifrane and 10 in El Hajeb.

Drâa Tafilalet follows with 114 additional infections : 48 in Errachidia, 45 in Midelt, 13 Ouarzazate, 6 in Tinghir and 2 in Zagora. Rabat-Salé-Kénitra recorded 113 cases : 35 in Kénitra, 29 in Skhirat-Témara, 24 in Salé, 19 in Rabat, 5 in Sidi Slimane and 1 in Khemisset.

As for Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma, it recorded 84 new infections : 37 in Tanger-Asilah, 26 in Tétouan, 17 in Al Hoceïma, 3 in M'diq-Fnidek and 1 in Larache. In Souss-Massa confirmed 53 cases : 28 in Agadir Ida Outanane, 19 in Inezgane Aït Melloul, 3 in Chtouka Aït Baha, 2 in Taroudant and 1 in Tiznit.

In the Oriental region, 26 infections were confirmed : 16 in Oujda-Angad, 6 in Guersif, 2 in Jerada and 2 in Berkane. The Beni Mellal-Khénifra region recorded 24 cases : 7 in Khouribga, 5 in Beni Mellal, 4 in Fqih Ben Salah, 4 in Azilal and 4 in Khénifra.

Guelmim-Oued Noun confirmed 17 cases : 7 in Tan Tan, 6 in Sidi Ifni and 4 in Guelmim. Dakhla-Oued Ed Dahab confirmed 9 cases all in the province of Oued Ed Dahab. Laayoune-Es Sakia El Hamra has 3 : 2 in Laâyoune and 1 in Es Semara.
