23 out of 600 Moroccans repatriated from Melilla have tested positive for the coronavirus, local online newspaper Nador City reported.

Quoting the Health Ministry representative in Nador, the same source revealed that those tested positive have been sent to the regional hospital of the city or home to isolate.

The same source reveals that the cases are currently stable and that they are following the treatment protocol set by the health authorities in the Kingdom.

On Sunday, 200 Moroccans stranded in Melilla since the start of the pandemic were able to return home, as part of a repatriation operation jointly organized by the Spanish and the Moroccan authorities.

In addition to the one organized Sunday, two repatriation operations took place on September 30 and October 2, bringing home 600 Moroccans.
