The head of MINURSO Alexander Ivanko, informed the Security Council on Tuesday that the Polisario Front had rejected his proposal for a ceasefire during Ramadan. Ivanko, a Russian diplomat, also briefed the Council on the Polisario's response to concerns raised about missile strikes near MINURSO observation points.
While noting one of the opinions of the CJEU's Advocate General, the Moroccan government stressed that it is not a party in this case, which primarily concerns the European Union. As for the Polisario, it sees «progress» in two of the opinions issued by Tamara Capeta.
