Being part again of the African Union has been of great benefits to the Moroccan Kingdom. In Addis Ababa, the Moroccan delegation managed to impose its stance on other AU members. The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation was also pleased by the way things were maintained.
The Security Council extended the mandate of the United Nations mission for a referendum in Western Sahara through the adoption of Resolution 2351. The decision was met positively by Rabat while the Polisario remained silent.
