The Justice Ministers of Morocco and France signed a joint declaration in Rabat on Monday, marking the visit of Gérald Darmanin, which began on Sunday, March 9. The agreement was finalized with Abdellatif Ouahbi following a working meeting aimed at strengthening legal and judicial cooperation.

The declaration aligns with an action plan initiated in May 2024, with one of its key priorities being the fight against terrorism and organized crime—two growing threats. The two parties reaffirmed their shared commitment to addressing these issues, modernizing the judicial system, and promoting continuous training, particularly in administrative management and legislation. The declaration also emphasizes the exchange of practices and expertise in these areas.

At the end of the meeting, both ministers expressed satisfaction with the judicial cooperation between their countries and discussed the review of certain agreements. On this occasion, Minister Gérald Darmanin praised Morocco's role in this dynamic, which has led to significant arrests related to organized crime in recent months.
