After Algeria recently described it as a «mirage», the gas pipeline project to link Nigeria to Morocco, passing through several West African countries is the subject of an ECOWAS meeting this week. Morocco is represented there by the National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM).
After the censorship of Yabiladi in September, then other Moroccan news sites, Algerian media said on Wednesday that they are not accessible from Algeria, denouncing an attack on freedom of the press.
Algeria does not seem to appreciate the succession of Cyril Ramaphosa by Félix Antoine Tshisekedi, as president of the African Union. It wants to deactivate the troika on Western Sahara in favor of the AU Peace and Security Council.
The European Parliament once again condemns the violations of human rights in Algeria. The day after the adoption, in November 2019, of a similar text, General Gaid Salah had described it as «foreign interference».
After announcing bombings, killed FAR soldiers and others taken prisoners, several Polisario and Algerian newspapers have claimed «the military enlistment» of Sub-Saharans by Morocco, or even «the death of an Emirati officer in a bombardment in the Sahara».
