The United States House of Representatives has approved a proposition on funds allocated to Morocco, including the Sahara in the document released Monday.
After the US House of Representatives passed a bill that treats Western Sahara as a «sovereign entity», pro-Polisario lobbyists in the Senate took the lead, stressing that they would endorse MPs’ will to exclude the Saharan provinces from economic assistance granted to the Kingdom.
Sources in the parliament told media that the proposal of sending a fact-finding mission to Huelva has been rejected. Meanwhile, head of Morocco’s Commission for Social Sectors in the House of Representatives told Yabiladi that the request is still pending.
