Saudi Arabia's ambassador to Morocco Abdullah Bin Saad Al Ghariri was received, Monday in Rabat, by the Speaker of the House of Representatives Habib El Malki.

During this meeting, the diplomat reiterated his country's position on the Western Sahara conflict. «Morocco's territorial integrity is a red line and an immutable principle of its foreign policy», said the House of Representatives in a statement relayed by MAP news agency.

Al Ghariri took the opportunity to address diplomatic ties between Riyadh and Rabat, stressing «the strength of relations between leaders and peoples of the two sister nations, describing them as strategic and deeply rooted».

The meeting between Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Morocco and the House of Representatives Speaker comes as Riyadh and Rabat have been trying to overcome a diplomatic crisis.

Indeed, on March the 20th, Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and King Mohammed VI reviewed «brotherly and friendly relations» during a telephone conversation. Later on, the King sent royal messages to the Saudi monarch and the Crown Prince Mohamed Bin Salman. He also received Turki Al Scheikh, a close adviser of Bin Salman.
