Morocco has given the green light to Argentina to start importing frozen bovine semen to the Kingdom. The decision was taken last week after the signing of an agreement between Argentina’s Ministry of Agroindustry and ONSSA.
In August, Morocco allowed, for the first time, US poultry imports into the country. On Thursday, the US Trade Representative announced that the Kingdom has lifted the ban on US beef products too.
Morocco is planning to invite bids for a $4.5 billion liquified natural gas (LNG) project in Jorf Lasfar. This step comes as the US Trade and Development Agency awarded a grant to Morocco’s Ministry of Energy to evaluate building an LNG import terminal and regasification facility.
After the U.S. Trade Representative’s Office announced that Morocco will start importing American poultry products, the US Poultry & Egg Council (USAPEEC) explained that the decision will also cover turkey.
