In the city of Sidi Ifni, in southwest Morocco, the Spanish colonizers built in the 60's a unique, land-to-sea cable car. The latter connected the shore to the inland and transported, via self-propelled carts, goods and passengers. Today, the abandoned remains of the facility can still be seen.
It took France and Spain years to agree on how they wanted to share Morocco. Negotiations were concluded on the 27th of November 1912 by signing the Treaty of Madrid. This agreement was later interrupted by new political actors who wanted to get a slice of the cake.
