18.76.قَالَ إِن سَأَلْتُكَ عَن شَيْءٍ بَعْدَهَا فَلَا تُصَاحِبْنِي قَدْ بَلَغْتَ مِن لَّدُنِّي عُذْراً
18.76. – «Si je te questionne encore sur quoi que ce soit, dit Moïse, tu auras le droit de me priver de ta compagnie. Tu n'as été, en vérité, que trop patient avec moi !»
18.76 . ( Moses ) said : If I ask thee after this concerning aught , keep not company with . Thou hast received an excuse from me .

18.77.فَانطَلَقَا حَتَّى إِذَا أَتَيَا أَهْلَ قَرْيَةٍ اسْتَطْعَمَا أَهْلَهَا فَأَبَوْا أَن يُضَيِّفُوهُمَا فَوَجَدَا فِيهَا جِدَاراً يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَنقَضَّ فَأَقَامَهُ قَالَ لَوْ شِئْتَ لَاتَّخَذْتَ عَلَيْهِ أَجْراً
18.77. Puis ils se remirent en route et, arrivés près d'une cité, ils demandèrent l'hospitalité aux habitants qui la leur refusèrent. Après quoi, ils aperçurent un mur qui menaçait de s'écrouler. L'inconnu s'empressa alors de le redresser. «Tu pourrais, lui dit Moïse, si tu le voulais, réclamer un salaire pour ce travail?»
18.77 . So they twain journeyed on till , when they came unto the folk of a certain township , they asked its folk for food , but they refused to make them guests . And they found therein a wall upon the point of falling into ruin , and he repaired it . ( Moses ) said : If thou hadst wished , thou couldst have taken payment for it .

18.78.قَالَ هَذَا فِرَاقُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنِكَ سَأُنَبِّئُكَ بِتَأْوِيلِ مَا لَمْ تَسْتَطِع عَّلَيْهِ صَبْراً
18.78. – «Voilà le moment venu de notre séparation, repartit l'étrange personnage. Je vais cependant t'éclairer sur la signification des choses que tu as été impatient de savoir.
18.78 . He said : This is the parting between thee and me! I will announce unto thee the interpretation of that thou couldst not bear with patience .
18.78. Qala hatha firaqu baynee wabaynika saonabbi-oka bita/weeli ma lam tastatiAA AAalayhi sabran
18.79.أَمَّا السَّفِينَةُ فَكَانَتْ لِمَسَاكِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ فِي الْبَحْرِ فَأَرَدتُّ أَنْ أَعِيبَهَا وَكَانَ وَرَاءهُم مَّلِكٌ يَأْخُذُ كُلَّ سَفِينَةٍ غَصْباً
18.79. Pour ce qui est de la barque, elle appartenait à de pauvres gens qui travaillaient en mer. J'ai voulu lui donner l'apparence d'être défectueuse, parce que derrière eux il y avait un roi qui s'emparait de toute embarcation et l'usurpait.
18.79 . As for the ship , it belonged to poor people working on the river , and I wished to mar it , for there was a king behind them who is taking every ship by force .
18.79. Amma alssafeenatu fakanat limasakeena yaAAmaloona fee albahri faaradtu an aAAeebaha wakana waraahum malikun ya/khuthu kulla safeenatin ghasban
18.80.وَأَمَّا الْغُلَامُ فَكَانَ أَبَوَاهُ مُؤْمِنَيْنِ فَخَشِينَا أَن يُرْهِقَهُمَا طُغْيَاناً وَكُفْراً
18.80. Quant au jeune homme, il avait pour père et mère deux bons croyants. Nous eûmes peur qu'il ne les entraînât dans sa rébellion et son impiété,
18.80 . And as for the lad , his parents were believers and We feared lest he should oppress them by rebellion and disbelief .
18.80. Waamma alghulamu fakana abawahu mu/minayni fakhasheena an yurhiqahuma tughyanan wakufran
