25.36.فَقُلْنَا اذْهَبَا إِلَى الْقَوْمِ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا فَدَمَّرْنَاهُمْ تَدْمِيراً

25.36. «Allez tous deux, leur avons-Nous dit, trouver ce peuple qui traite Nos preuves de mensonges.» Et c'est un peuple que Nous avons fini par détruire de fond en comble.

25.36 . Then We said : Go together unto the folk who have denied Our revelations . Then We destroyed them , a complete destruction .

25.36. Faqulna ithhaba ila alqawmi allatheena kaththaboo bi-ayatina fadammarnahum tadmeeran

25.37.وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ لَّمَّا كَذَّبُوا الرُّسُلَ أَغْرَقْنَاهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ لِلنَّاسِ آيَةً وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ عَذَاباً أَلِيماً

25.37. Ce fut aussi le cas du peuple de Noé qui avait traité Nos messagers d'imposteurs et que Nous avons englouti, faisant de lui un exemple à méditer par les autres hommes, car Nous réservons toujours un châtiment douloureux aux peuples pervers.

25.37 . And Noah ' s folk , when they denied the messengers , We drowned them and made of them a portent for mankind We have prepared a painful doom for evil doers .

25.37. Waqawma noohin lamma kaththaboo alrrusula aghraqnahum wajaAAalnahum lilnnasi ayatan waaAAtadna lilththalimeena AAathaban aleeman

25.38.وَعَاداً وَثَمُودَ وَأَصْحَابَ الرَّسِّ وَقُرُوناً بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ كَثِيراً

25.38. Et il en fut de même des `Âd, des Thamûd, des habitants d'ar-Rass et de nombreuses générations intermédiaires.

25.38 . And ( the tribes of ) Aad and Thamud , and the dwellers in Ar-Rass , and many generations in between .

25.38. WaAAadan wathamooda waas-haba alrrassi waquroonan bayna thalika katheeran

25.39.وَكُلّاً ضَرَبْنَا لَهُ الْأَمْثَالَ وَكُلّاً تَبَّرْنَا تَتْبِيراً

25.39. À tous ces peuples Nous avions proposé – mais en vain – des exemples édifiants. Aussi les avons-Nous tous exterminés.

25.39 . Each ( of them ) We warned by examples , and each ( of them ) We brought to utter ruin .

25.39. Wakullan darabna lahu al-amthala wakullan tabbarna tatbeeran

25.40.وَلَقَدْ أَتَوْا عَلَى الْقَرْيَةِ الَّتِي أُمْطِرَتْ مَطَرَ السَّوْءِ أَفَلَمْ يَكُونُوا يَرَوْنَهَا بَلْ كَانُوا لَا يَرْجُونَ نُشُوراً

25.40. Les infidèles sont pourtant passés près de la cité qu'une pluie funeste avait détruite. Ne l'ont-ils donc pas vue? Oh que si ! Mais ils ne s'attendent pas à être ressuscités un jour.

25.40 . And indeed they have passed by the township whereon was rained the fatal rain . Can it be that they have not seen it? Nay , but they hope for no resurrection .

25.40. Walaqad ataw AAala alqaryati allatee omtirat matara alssaw-i afalam yakoonoo yarawnaha bal kanoo la yarjoona nushooran
