43.56.فَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ سَلَفاً وَمَثَلاً لِلْآخِرِينَ
43.56. faisant d'eux un exemple et une leçon pour les peuples à venir.
43.56 . And We made them a thing past , and an example for those after ( them ) .
43.56. FajaAAalnahum salafan wamathalan lil-akhireena
43.57.وَلَمَّا ضُرِبَ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ مَثَلاً إِذَا قَوْمُكَ مِنْهُ يَصِدُّونَ
43.57. Et quand le fils de Marie fut proposé en exemple, ton peuple s'en détourna avec dédain,
43.57 . And when the son of Mary is quoted as an example , behold! the folk laugh out ,
43.57. Walamma duriba ibnu maryama mathalan itha qawmuka minhu yasiddoona
43.58.وَقَالُوا أَآلِهَتُنَا خَيْرٌ أَمْ هُوَ مَا ضَرَبُوهُ لَكَ إِلَّا جَدَلاً بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ خَصِمُونَ
43.58. en disant : «Nos divinités ne sont-elles pas meilleures que lui?» Il est clair qu'ils n'ont songé à cette comparaison que pour susciter des controverses, en tant que peuple chicanier.
43.58 . And say : Are our gods better , or is he? They raise not the objection save for argument . Nay! but they are a contentious folk .
43.58. Waqaloo aalihatuna khayrun am huwa ma daraboohu laka illa jadalan bal hum qawmun khasimoona
43.59.إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا عَبْدٌ أَنْعَمْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَجَعَلْنَاهُ مَثَلاً لِّبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ
43.59. Jésus n'était qu'un serviteur auquel Nous avons accordé Notre grâce et dont Nous fîmes un exemple pour les enfants d'Israël.
43.59 . He is nothing but a slave on whom We bestowed favor , and We made him a pattern for the Children of Israel .
43.59. In huwa illa AAabdun anAAamna AAalayhi wajaAAalnahu mathalan libanee isra-eela
43.60.وَلَوْ نَشَاء لَجَعَلْنَا مِنكُم مَّلَائِكَةً فِي الْأَرْضِ يَخْلُفُونَ
43.60. Et si Nous le voulions, Nous aurions fait de vous des anges pour vous succéder sur la Terre.
43.60 . And had We willed We could have set among you angels to be viceroys in the earth .
43.60. Walaw nashao lajaAAalna minkum mala-ikatan fee al-ardi yakhlufoona
