1,642 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 447,081.
2,036 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 418,744.
37 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 7,618. 15 of these deaths were recorded in the region of Casablanca-Settat, 6 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 4 in Marrakech-Safi, 2 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma, 2 in Souss-Massa, 2 in the Oriental, 2 in Fès-Meknes, 2 in Khénifra-Béni Mellal, 2 in Drâa-Tafilalet, 1 in Guelmim-Oued Noun and 1 in Laâyoune-Es Sakia El Hamra.
The country has 20,719 active cases, including 1,121 in critical conditions. 75 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 624 cases: 485 in Casablanca, 40 in Mohammedia, 27 in Berrechid, 24 in Nouaceur, 18 in Settat, 17 in El Jadida, 9 in Médiouna and 4 in Benslimane. Then comes Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma with 353 infections in 24 hours: 213 in Tanger-Assilah, 48 in Tetouan, 29 in Al Hoceïma, 26 in M'diq-Fnideq, 26 in Larache, 10 in Chefchaouen and 1 in Al Fahs Anjra.
Rabat-Salé-Kénitra follows with 159 cases: 56 in Salé, 53 in Skhirat-Témara, 30 in Kénitra, 7 in Sidi Kacem, 6 in Rabat, 5 in Khémisset and 2 in Sidi Slimane. Marrakech-Safi recorded 148 new cases: 63 in Marrakech, 42 in Essaouira, 16 in Safi, 12 in Chichaoua, 9 in Kelâa des Sraghna, 4 in Youssoufia, 1 in Al Haouz and 1 in Rehamna.
Souss-Massa confirmed 110 cases: 62 in Agadir Ida Ou Tanane, 13 in Taroudant, 10 in Chtouka Aït Baha, 10 in Inezgane Aït Melloul, 11 in Tiznit and 4 in Tata. L'Oriental region recorded 79 cases: 28 in Berkane, 16 in Oujda-Angad, 15 in Nador, 13 in Driouch, 3 in Jerada, 2 in Taourirt and 2 in Guercif.
Fès-Meknes confirmed 46 in the last 24 hours: 28 in Fez, 8 in Meknes, 6 in Sefrou, 2 in Taza, 1 in Taounat and 1 in Moulay Yacoub. Beni Mellal-Khénifra recorded 43 new infections: 14 in Beni Mellal, 14 in Khénifra, 7 in Khouribga, 7 in Fkih Bensalah and 1 in Azilal.
In Drâa-Tafilalet, 31 were confirmed: 14 in Errachidia, 7 in Ouarzazate, 4 in Zagora, 3 in Midelt and 3 in Tinghir. Guelmim-Oued Noun confirmed 22 cases:18 in Guelmim and 4 in Sidi Ifni. Laâyoune-Es Sakia El Hamra confirmed 18 cases: 16 in Laâyoune, 1 in Es-Semara and 1 in Boujdour. Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab confirmed 9 cases, all in Oued-Ed Dahab.
