1,543 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 450,221.
1,503 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 422,072.
40 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 7,685. 8 of these deaths were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, 5 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 5 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 4 in Souss-Massa, 4 in the Oriental, 3 in Marrakech-Safi, 3 in Fès-Meknes, 3 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra and 2 in Guelmim-Oued Noun.
The country has 20,464 active cases, including 1,092 in critical conditions. 74 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 515 infections: 387 in Casablanca, 35 in Mohammedia, 35 in El Jadida, 25 in Nouaceur, 13 in Settat, 8 in Berrechid, 6 in Mediouna and 6 in Benslimane. Next comes Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma with 339 new cases: 215 in Tanger-Assilah, 43 in Tétouan, 34 in Al Hoceima, 18 in M'diq-Fnideq, 18 in Larache, 6 in Chefchaouen and 5 in Ouazzane.
Rabat-Salé-Kénitra follows with 224 cases: 72 in Salé, 72 in Skhirat-Témara, 27 in Kénitra, 18 in Sidi Kacem, 15 in Rabat, 11 in Khemisset and 9 in Sidi Slimane. 110 new infections were recorded in Marrakech-Safi: 40 in Marrakech, 26 in Essaouira, 20 in Chichaoua, 11 in Safi, 5 in Youssoufia, 5 in Rhamna, 2 in Kelaa des Sraghna and 1 in Al Haouz.
Souss-Massa confirmed 105 cases: 51 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 17 in Inzegane-Aït Melloul, 15 in Taroudant, 14 in Tiznit and 8 in Chtouka-Ait Baha. The Oriental region recorded 96 infections: 28 in Berkane, 23 in Nador, 22 in Oujda-Angad, 8 in Taourirt, 7 in Driouch, 3 in Figuig, 3 in Guercif and 2 in Jerada.
46 confirmed cases were recorded in Fès-Meknes (19 in Fès, 12 in Meknes, 7 in Taza, 5 in Taounate, 2 in Sefrou and 1 in Ifrane), 40 in Drâa-Tafilalet (17 in Errachidia , 16 in Ouarzazate, 4 in Tinghir and 3 in Midelt) as well as 26 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (9 in Khouribga, 6 in Beni Mellal, 3 in Khénifra and 2 in Fqih Bensaleh).
In the southern provinces, 17 infections were confirmed in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (14 in Laâyoune, 2 in Boujdour and 1 in Tarfaya), 15 in Guelmim-Oued Noun (9 in Tan Tan, 5 in Sidi Ifni and 1 in Guelmim) and 10 in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab).
