Covid-19 in Morocco : 125 new infections and two deaths on Monday

125 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 489,096. 4,264,761 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 2,516,742 people have received the second.

305 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 479,557.

2 deaths were recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19-related deaths to 8,769. This is a death recorded in Casablanca-Settat and 1 other in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra.

The country has 3,508 active cases, including 419 in critical conditions. 25 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 55 infections: 49 in Casablanca, 5 in Nouaceur and 1 in Berrechid. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 31 cases: 17 in Salé, 5 in Rabat, 5 in Kénitra, 2 in Skhirat-Témara and 2 in Sidi Kacem.

The Oriental region follows with 13 cases: 8 in Oujda-Angad, 3 in Jerada, 1 in Berkane and 1 in Driouch. 10 infections were confirmed in Marrakech (Marrakech-Safi) and 10 others in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab).

2 cases were confirmed in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane (Souss-Massa), 2 in the city of Fès (Fès-Meknes), 1 in Laâyoune (Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra) and one in Beni Mellal (Beni Mellal-Khénifra).
