Covid-19 in Morocco : 97 new infections and 9 deaths on Monday

97 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 494,756. 4,302,897 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 3,455,603 people have received the second.

233 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 482,585.

9 deaths were recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19-related deaths to 8,807.

The country has 3,364 active cases, including 428 in critical conditions. 27 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 51 infections: 43 in Casablanca, 4 in Nouaceur, 2 in Berrechid and 2 in Benslimane. Then comes Dakhla-Oued Ed Dahab with 14 cases, all in Oued Ed-Dahab.

Marrakech-Safi confirmed 13 new cases: 10 in Marrakech, 2 in Kelâa des Sraghna and 1 in Essaouira. Rabat-Salé-Kénitra follows, with 10 cases: 4 in Rabat, 3 in Kénitra, 2 in Skhirat-Témara and 1 Salé. The Oriental region recorded 3 cases: 1 in Taourirt, 1 in Oujda-Angad and 1 in Nador.

Fès-Meknes confirmed 3 cases, all in Meknes. Souss-Massa recorded 1 new infection in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane and Beni Mellal-Khénifra confirmed 1 case in Khouribga, Guelmim-Oued Noun 1 in Tan Tan.
