A high-level Moroccan delegation participated in a reverse trade mission organized by the US Consulate General in Casablanca and the US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA).

This initiative, focused on digital development and innovation, highlights the growing partnership between the United States and Morocco, facilitating US technology transfers to support Morocco's economic prosperity, reads a US Consulate press release sent Monday to Yabiladi.

«Morocco is engaged in a strategically crucial digital transformation process», emphasized US Ambassador Puneet Talwar. «The U.S. government and private sector are absolutely committed to supporting our friend, Morocco, to ensure an exemplary digital transformation utilizing cutting-edge, trusted technology».

Fifteen Moroccan representatives from government agencies and business associations met with leading US technology companies and institutions in Austin and Silicon Valley. Discussions centered on e-governance, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity solutions.

«We seek to benefit from their expertise and learn from their best practices to stimulate the growth of the digital sector in Morocco», stated Sarah Lamrani, Secretary-General of Morocco's Ministry of Digital Transformation.

Delegates interacted with companies like Oracle, Microsoft, and Cisco, exploring cutting-edge solutions in data centers, cloud computing, and digital government services. This visit strengthens US-Morocco ties and empowers Moroccan digitalization efforts.
