Top security officials from Morocco and Germany meet, focus on collaboration

Morocco's Director General for National Security and Territorial Surveillance, Abdellatif Hammouchi, received Germany's Holger Münch, President of the Federal Criminal Police Office, on Tuesday. Münch was leading a delegation of German security officials on a working visit to the Kingdom.

The meeting, held in Rabat, focused on a range of bilateral security issues of mutual interest. Both sides emphasized the need to strengthen cooperation and explored ways to further develop their partnership in this area. This is according to an official communiqué from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).

Key topics included a comprehensive review of ongoing operational cooperation on various security fronts, as well as discussions on mechanisms for bolstering the partnership, providing reciprocal technical assistance in police training, and conducting joint exercises.

The meeting signifies a concerted effort by both countries to strengthen their collaboration in the security domain. The aim is to align perspectives, coordinate efforts, and collectively confront the diverse security challenges and threats faced by nations today, concludes the communiqué.
