Moroccan national carrier Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is launching new direct flights linking Casablanca to Manchester, Naples and Abuja, starting June 22, 2024. The flights are meant to «better serve Moroccans around the world and the African diaspora, while promoting Moroccan tourism», RAM said Monday in a press release.
«The airline will resume direct flights to Naples (Italy) from June 22, with two frequencies per week (Monday and Saturday). The Casablanca-Naples flight will take off from Casablanca's Mohammed V international airport at 4.15 pm, arriving at 8.30 pm (local time). The Naples-Casablanca flight will leave Italy at 9:30 pm and arrive in Casablanca at 11:50 pm (local time)», the same source announced.
On June 23, flights between Casablanca and Manchester (UK) will start operating three times a week (Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday). The flight will leave Casablanca at 1:45 pm and arrive in the British city at 5:20 pm (local time). The return is scheduled for 6:20 pm for an estimated arrival in Casablanca at 9:45 pm (local time).
Another connection will link the Moroccan metropolis to Abuja, Nigeria. «This new direct route will operate three times a week (Tuesday, Friday and Sunday). Departure from Casablanca will be at 01:15 am for arrival at Abuja international airport at 06:10 (local time). Departure from Abuja will be scheduled at 07:10 am for arrival in Casablanca at 11:55 am (local time)».
Hamid Addou, Chairman and CEO of RAM, indicated that «the launch of these three new routes is part of [the company's] development plan, aimed at opening air routes in several promising markets».
