UN boosts budget for MINURSO mission

The United Nations Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions (ACABQ) reported that MINURSO's financial allocation increased from $60.5 million (July 2022 - June 2023) to $64.5 million (up to June 2024). The mission's budget for the next phase will further increase by 9.1%.

According to Spanish media citing the report, the next period's budget allocates $7.525 million for military and police personnel, $25.44 million for civilian staff, and $37.74 million for operational costs.
