A meeting took place, Friday, in Silicon Valley, California, with members of the Moroccan community established in the United States, on the initiative of the Ministry in charge of Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policies and the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE).

Speaking at the event, Minister Delegate Mohcine Jazouli reviewed the projects launched in Morocco, particularly in the fields of development, infrastructure and investment. He highlighted the major role played by high value-added sectors such as clean energy, green hydrogen and electric mobility in development.

He also highlighted the role played by the diaspora in promoting Morocco's international image, and called on Moroccans living abroad to continue contributing to the collective effort to consolidate the foundations of a Morocco that is strong in its assets and skills.

The meeting brought together over 150 Moroccan experts working for major digital companies (GAFAM) and IT groups, as well as in the biotech and entrepreneurial sectors, in addition to scientific and academic research.

Commenting on the international roadshow to promote Morocco as a business destination, which has already made stops in Dallas, Austin and San Francisco, and is due to continue in Seattle, the Minister Delegate told MAP that the aim of this initiative is to publicize Morocco's major assets and thus attract new American investment.

Referring to Morocco's participation in the 16th U.S.-Africa Business Summit, held in Dallas from May 6 to 9, the Minister Delegate noted that this meeting was an opportunity to examine the prospects for partnerships and cooperation that would be sustainable and beneficial for Africa.

For his part, AMDIE Managing Director Ali Seddiki pointed out that the meeting with members of the Moroccan community in the United States was held in application of royal instructions to support the projects and initiatives of Moroccans around the world.

The aim is to present the business opportunities that Morocco offers, particularly in terms of investment, as well as the incentives provided by the new investment charter, he said, adding that AMDIE is mobilized to support the investment projects of Moroccans around the world.
