Moroccan international Ilias Akhomach, who joined Spanish club Villarreal from FC Barcelona B last year, has been promoted to the first team.
Villarreal unveiled its first-team squad for the 2024-2025 season on Thursday, August 15, 2024, listing Akhomach as a forward «after playing a leading role in the previous season».
«Ilias Akhomach is a talented footballer who, despite his young age, excels in the attacking third, demonstrating strong potential both domestically and internationally», the Spanish club wrote on the Atlas Lion's profile.
The Moroccan international has recently rejoined his team's training after winning the bronze medal at the Paris Olympic Games with the national team.
Born on April 16, 2004, in the Catalan town of Els Hostalets de Pierola, Ilias Akhomach made 31 first-team appearances last season.
