Moroccan international Ayoub El Kaabi was named Best Foreign Player in Greece for 2024. The player was awarded during an awards ceremony, held on Monday in Athens, Greece.
The award recognizes El Kaabi's exceptional performance last season, where he played a key role in leading Olympiacos to its first-ever European Conference title—an unprecedented achievement in Greek football history.
Expressing his gratitude, El Kaabi shared his joy on Instagram, writing: «Thank God, I am very happy to be crowned the best foreign player and to be included in the squad of the 23/24 season, I would like to thank my family, my team and the fans for their continuous support».
El Kaabi becomes the second Moroccan to receive this prestigious accolade, following former Moroccan international striker Youssef El-Arabi, who won the award in both 2020 and 2021.
El Kaabi joined Olympiacos during the 2023 summer transfer window from Qatari club Al Sadd.
