An EasyJet flight to Morocco was forced to land in Bristol on Thursday, January 2, after one hour in the air due to a «technical issue». The flight landed back in Bristol, a city in the southwest of England, just one hour after departing from the UK and heading to Morocco, The Independent reported on Friday.

EasyJet confirmed the return of the flight but did not give further details on the «technical issue» behind the landing. «The aircraft landed normally and was met by emergency services as a routine and precautionary measure», a spokesperson for the airline told The Independent.

«Passengers disembarked into the terminal where we provided refreshments, and a replacement aircraft and crew were arranged to continue the flight that afternoon», the spokesperson added.

The flight was heading to Marrakech. After the emergency landing, the trip was resumed at 3:24 PM later that day, arriving in Marrakech at 7:27 PM.
