Stellantis has finalized the acquisition of the remaining 49% stake in Sopriam from Al Mada, marking a strategic move to fully integrate its import and distribution operations in Morocco, the company announced on January 13, 2025.

According to a Stellantis press release, effective this month, all the group's commercial activities in Morocco, encompassing Peugeot, Citroën, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Fiat Professional, Abarth, Jeep®, and Alfa Romeo brands, will be consolidated under Stellantis Maroc (formerly FCA Maroc). Sopriam will continue to manage direct distribution activities through its branch network.

This restructuring follows the initial announcement made in July 2024 and aims to strengthen synergies while enhancing the customer experience across the Kingdom. The acquisition aligns with Stellantis's Dare Forward 2030 strategy, targeting market leadership in the Middle East and Africa region with a 22% market share.

Stellantis N.V., listed on NYSE, Euronext Milan, and Euronext Paris under the symbols STLA, STLAM, and STLAP respectively, is pursuing its strategic plan to become a mobility tech company while aiming for carbon neutrality by 2038.
