Morocco hands over Mohammed VI vocational training complex to Mali

King Mohammed VI has directed that the Mohammed VI Vocational Training Complex for construction, public works, hospitality, tourism, and catering be transferred to Malian authorities. Spanning 5,200 square meters in Bamako, this facility was developed by the Mohammed VI Foundation for Sustainable Development to provide tailored career training aimed at equipping young people for employment and workforce integration.

Morocco’s foreign ministry stated, «the operational launch of this facility will enable the training of nearly 1,000 students annually across 21 disciplines, with 12 focusing on construction and public works, and nine dedicated to tourism, hospitality, and catering».

During a site visit, Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, emphasized the royal vision driving South-South cooperation, which is rooted in solidarity, expertise sharing, and capacity building.

Mali’s Minister of National Entrepreneurship, Employment, and Vocational Training, Oumou Sall Seck, praised this «highly significant gesture that reflects the historic fraternal and solidaristic ties between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Mali». She noted that the initiative addresses «a strategic need for Mali in terms of skills development».
